Why we exist

Buying cycles leave thin trails: a requisition opened on a Monday, a vendor bank detail changed on a Wednesday, an approval released late on a Friday. When those trails sit inside applications that few people fully understand, risk accumulates quietly. Platform Wise was formed to read those applications carefully and report what we find in language both boards and buying desks can use.

Origin

The practice began in Gangnam after years spent inside Korean manufacturing and retail procurement offices — watching purchase order modules, e-tender forms, and invoice match screens behave differently from the policies taped to the wall. We kept a single focus: application audits for procurement workflows, not general management consulting.

How we work

We sit with buyers as they create requests, with approvers as they release orders, and with the colleagues who maintain vendor masters. Evidence comes from the applications themselves — logs, role matrices, and sampled documents — not from slide decks alone. Findings are ranked by how they affect cash leakage, compliance exposure, and day-to-day friction for the people who buy.

People

Our auditors combine procurement operations experience with methodical control testing. Engagements are led from Seoul; when a parent company abroad needs English reporting, we deliver parallel Korean and English briefs without watering down either version.

Korean public and private procurement carries its own rhythms: stamp culture on approvals, group-company vendor lists, and bilingual reporting for overseas headquarters. We design sampling and interviews with those realities in mind, from Seoul headquarters to regional plants.
